at 5'6" and approx 125 lbs I'm usually a size small but sometimes I need an xs or can get away with it and it's great. This is one purchase where I got the smaller size and it fit perfectly. If I had gone for a small it might have been too loose. These shorts are gorgeous, great quality and so comfortable. I bought with the matching purple ID top but would look so good with white or black top.
