I wanted a waterproof and light shoe for everyday use and hiking during the weekends. I think I found the perfect one. I tried different trail shoes and I didn't like the design of most of them. Adidas terrex has a modern design and it's very light. Already worn the shoes for a week and I am very pleased. The first day I worn them there was a thunderstorm, my feet stayed dry. Thank you adidas.
Having just worn these shoes two days ago in the World Skyrunner Glencoe Skyline series, I cannot praise these shoes enough. I've been wearing the Kanadia TR7 non gore-tex version for the last year, running local trails and laps in the Derbyshire peak district. What i particularly like about this shoe is the fact its not too specific i.e. it has great grip in muddy conditions, superb traction on rock and is comfortable for flats and even road sections, therefore i don't need a specialist shoe as its great in almost all conditions apart from really deep boggy conditions and like most people in order to get to the trails or hills i may need to run on the flats or roads. I've been running for 30 yrs and worn numerous different brands including some very popular brands worn in mountains (think of a ski brand) and none of them have withstood the abuse these have received. Leading up to the skyline i bought another pair of TR7's thinking an unworn shoe would work better, however i wore the original 6 month old shoe, as it was super comfy and while many runners we're struggling on the varied terrain these gave me the confidence to push on. N.B I'm not an Adidas employee, i just felt compelled to make this review as after attending this event (sky runner) many runners were wearing other brands which are heavily marketed towards this style of running and felt it was a shame this great shoe was a bit of an unknown. PS 7th placed Vet;-)
I have the Energy Boost 2 and I use them every day and find them great. So I decided to buy these GTX shoes as a hiking alternative. Whilst they are very well made and look great, their shape is different to the energy boost so they don't fit my feet. It's a shame that I had to return them as they did look really nice.
These shoes look great. I ordered them because they are waterproof with Gortex lining. They are also light and comfortable. Unfortunately they are quite wide and I couldn't get the size right. So I returned them twice.
Outstanding design and brilliantly executed. Very comfortable although I find the lacing 'bites' the top of the foot a bit. Definitely much snugger for the same size fit as the previous agravic line. I should have ordered a half size larger, but only realised when it was too late.
Very stylish. Bought for walking on mild climbs. Great grip on wet surface, including grass and stone. I'm a size 10 and the 10 was a perfect fit. They are a firm trainer but have give. Highly recommended
Receiving my new runners from the postman inspired me to try them out straight away. So off I took down to the local park and into their forest trail and away I ran. The shoes were so comfortable over the uneven ground and with great support for my dodgy ankle. And best of all my feet remained totally dry!
Had purchased a pair of shoes from another well known brand which I later had to return because of a small fault. Then purchased these Kanadia 7 shoes and I love them. More comfortable and lighter than the other ones. Have worn them now seven or eight times and could not be happier with them.
Not only do these new Terrex Agravic GTX look great, they are super comfortable and make you feel secure on the most inhospitable of terrains. They are waterproof too thanks to the GoreTex. The colour combination may not be to everyone's taste but I love it and it's great to have something just a bit different amongst all the safe options!
Great grip, good sizing (slightly loose around the heel, but with insoles they work well), the GTX version dont breathe as well as one would like especially in summer months. But overall solid shoes used on a number of light hikes and long walking days across town.
The shoes are stiff and the laces are dumb. They are too narrow across the front and hurt my corn on my pinkie toe. I loved my previous Adidas shoes but I was not satisfied with these and will be returning them. Luckily there is free shipping on returns.
Great pair of trainers. The lace system is great. Really easy to use. Beats tying laces. The trainers are good for the great outdoors the goretex keeps your feet nice and dry. All round a great pair of trainers.
they feel light and comfortable from the first time on. I went on my usual ski-walk for a few miles in the forest and it felt like in old shoes. They look on a flamboyant side to my taste, but my wife assured me that I looked nice in them.
Bought these to wear on holiday in the Orkney ilands. Easily the most comfortable trainers I have had for a long time. I have walked on the beach, grass roads and rocks with full confidence. Best of all they are waterproof!
I use these terrex gtx runners for the most unforgiving job on shoes, metal roofing. They stand up to the strain put on them by being on a slope all day everyday. The continental rubber gives me traction like nothing else I have never worn and I have been doing this job for 35 years. The only draw back I have found is availablility as they are always hard to find.
So far so good with these. Ran across a wet field this morning without slipping and without my feet getting wet. I normally wear a size 11 with Adidas but that was really tight for me oddly, so had to go up half a size. Every other pair of Adidas trainers I have are size 11 and fit perfectly. Weird.
Adidas continue to make great value hiking and outdoor shoes. These are particularly great value for money being both comfortable and weather resistant. I tried a few pairs of Terrex but they were too narrow for me, these are better, almost perfect and so far so good, well done adidas for catering to the massive trail running / day hiker community!
The perfect shoes in terms of weight, protection & comfort...I am a postman and have been looking for th perfect shoe for the job, walking (fast) for approx 20km a day over a variety of urban environments...pavements, dirt tracks, steep drives etc in all weathers...at las I've found the perfect shoe : ) I love the design too
I chose this product because I wanted a pair of waterproof shoes for walking with my dog during rainy days and I have had a good experience with Adidas.this beautiful shoe really works on rainy days and keep my feet dry even I go on the grass full of whater but It is not as comfortable as my old one. Unfortunately I have a blister on my toe.I wish I could find my old Adidas leather running
Ideal purchase, exactly what I want looking for, waterproof trainers that I could wear for walking in fields. Recommended size is a perfect fit and they are really comfortable. The best part is they'll ok really good on. I bought the black/grey option.
Bought these a half size bigger than my usual shoe size, but usually do with sports shoes.Wore these for a full day yesterday (July). Thought they might be too narrow at first but felt more comfortable as the day went on. Was concerned that the Gore Tex might have made feet too hot. Didn't seem to be a problem. The continental soles seem to give great grip (only tried on dry hard surfaces so far). Lacing system takes a bit of getting used to, but they are easily adjustable and didn't come loose once. Fabric on upper looks like good strength rips top. Rubber surround on toe box gives protection, but not too thick. My first time with Boost, but it feels good.
Great show well made. Adidas always appear to be 1/2 size smaller than size stated for some reason so be aware. As I'd personalised mine am unable to exchange. As a result they are a wee bit tight but I'll live with it
I've worn the Terrex R gore tex for social and work for months now and these are perfect, I thought I'd plump for a similar show this time with Boost. What a mistake! These are no where near as comfortable as the none boost versions. Whilst they breathe, and are very comfy on carpet the problems start after 3-4 hours of moderate walking about. Achilles' tendon was aching for hours and hours afternwearing these. My legs felt tired and I couldn't wait to pack them up and send them back to adidas.
I bought the gore-tex TR7 as I go to watch my son play football in all types of weather so needed something that would give me comfort grip and keep my feet dry on the rainy mornings! At first they were great however 6 months later I can't even go on my wet lawn for 2 minutes without feeling my feet going wet :-( so I now have an £80 pair of gore-tex trainers that I can only ware on sunny days disgrace!! My last trainers which were a pair of INOV8 didn't let in water until I wore a hole in the sole I hade them that long!! Not happy
i like the tech involved in the design. Being older and packing some extra kilos i was a little wary of trail running again. The shoes are light, without being too delicate. the sole is perfect for trail walk/running, shedding mud easily. See how we go. I forgot how much I enjoy trail running.
