Firstly I do not use this shoe for trail running. I purchased them for cycle commuting. The gore tex keep my feet dry in all but the heaviest of downpours. Shoe is comfortable to walk in although the rocker sole took a little to get used to. The only negative I would say is the length of the lace is a little long.
Possibly the perfect shoe for grip and comfort in a wet UK winter. The minimalist design looks understated without shouting "yoo hoo, I'm a hiker". Delighted with these, they look and feel what they cost. Stability is excellent, especially for my weak ankles, the first pair of shoes I've ever felt perfect in from the first fitting. I haven't tried running yet, these are for everyday wet weather life in Britain without the weight and bulk of boots.
I've been wearing these Shoes a lot since I purchased them at Christmas and I must say they are like Slippers very very Comfortable.Great Design and very Sturdy if you did them in Black I would Purchase another Pair. 10/10
Did my first 5k trail run in these on Jan 1st. Mix of gravel, stone, grass, and mud, all very damp. They were great. Sure under foot, light enough, and my feet stayed dry. Not too jarring on tarmac either. I'm a 9, wear a 9.5 in Adidas running shoes (Supernova Glide), but had to swap a 9.5 for a 10 in these. I think the Goretex sock slightly reduces the volume, especially in the toe box. Quick clean with a damp cloth and they're good as new.
Having already got some leather hiking boots I wanted to get some light weight walking shoes. Having had Adidas before I decided to buy the AX2 shoe. They are light weight and very comfortable Ive only worn them a couple of times and already feel broken in. Although a slightly broad fitting a thicker sock makes them a comfortable fit. They have a good rugged sole which has a very good grip. Overall I'm very satisfied with the shoe.
quality walk shoe with good lace system. good support although it is quite a narrow shoe Adidas NZ should consider offering width options like other brands such as Salomon. Sole is grippy but walking on smooth interior flooring such as polished timber or vinyl will give loud squeaking noises as your walking around, not so good in shopping malls and the likes.
I like Goretex, Continental and Adidas on my foot. It's a powerful walking tool. It is looking like a post - Millennium product should do. I like the way a laces are designed. Maybe, I would add some more yellow or blue or red colour to the black base.
It's a great value utility shoes that its construction feels solid. It's just a bit rigid maybe after some time it'll feel a bit better, still not saying it's uncomfortable but also not the most comfortable shoes I've owned.
I need black footwear for work, I like that you can personalise these online, mine say DRIVER 6 on them just like I asked for. The trainers are great, comfortable, stylish & fit really well. From start to finish the website was easy to use & the trainers arrived just under a week later :) bargain, Plus my job gave me £30 cash back for wearing black trainers! result ;)
Shoe is almost perfect. Was advised by other reviewers to order small than usual. I'm usually an 11, ordered a 10 and it's still a little large but as I had them personalised I couldn't send them back. However, still extremely comfortable and look fantastic. Least a star for delivery time. Was advised they would be with me TUesday so took the day off work. Only for them to arrive on Wednesday, so I had to go and pick them up from the post office, which was annoying. Great shoes though.
Great shoe, really comfortable. Only downside is that the 'speed lace' system doesn't work that well. The laces loses tension and has to be tensioned constantly, which is a bit annoying. And that is with just normal walking.
Overall very happy with this shoe, it is exactly what I needed. Not as minimalist as some others in the market (innov8 etc.), but does offer more cushioning as a trade off and is better for (limited) road miles. Very grippy, and the GTX version is extremely water tight. If you are looking for an inbetween, lightweight trail show with some road uses this is a great choice.
A very impressive styling combines with quality materials to produce a comfortable shoe. A tidy inner and a soft upper are based on a tough rubberised sole that is suitable for all surfaces. Speedlacing tops everything off!
Nice understated design with super grippy continental rubber sole just like my mtb tyres (x and trail kings). Goretex is great for keeping feet dry in usual UK weather. Nice quality, my only slight niggle is the speed lacing I have this system on salomon hiking shoes and find they tend to work loose, personal preference is the elastic type.
I bought this product because I needed a shoe for carrying mail in everyday that was lightweight, had good tread, and was waterproof (as other reviews stated). I've only had them a couple weeks so I can't speak to the longevity of them. Positives: Great tread. It's basically like having cleats on your feet. Awesome for walking through various landscapes all day. They dry super fast and are pretty light weight. The quick drying means they don't smell. They look great. Negatives: They are ZERO percent waterproof. Three lawns in, and I'm soaked. They are not comfortable at all. I'm flat and narrow footed so they are okay for me but if your feet aren't like that, it's going to be bad news for you. They are also really hard. I immediately put in my own insoles but if I tie them too tightly, they hurt even the top of my foot because of the tongue design.
Excellent walking shoes, great grip, and comfort. I wore them straight out of the box for a walk along the coast, including the beach and had no problems, I would highly recommend these shoes, even the wife commented how good they looked compared to my previous walking shoes
The look of the shoe is great however the insoles had to be replaced as they are very uncomfortable. I have small feet knowing the smallest size would be a bit roomy but the toe area seems to have a tad too much free space.
Took them out for a run on Saturday and the traction was great over rocky and uneven ground and my feet didn't get wet. I usually have a 9 but went for a 9.5 after reading lots of other reviews and found them to be extremely comfortable.
Having just worn these shoes two days ago in the World Skyrunner Glencoe Skyline series, I cannot praise these shoes enough. I've been wearing the Kanadia TR7 non gore-tex version for the last year, running local trails and laps in the Derbyshire peak district. What i particularly like about this shoe is the fact its not too specific i.e. it has great grip in muddy conditions, superb traction on rock and is comfortable for flats and even road sections, therefore i don't need a specialist shoe as its great in almost all conditions apart from really deep boggy conditions and like most people in order to get to the trails or hills i may need to run on the flats or roads. I've been running for 30 yrs and worn numerous different brands including some very popular brands worn in mountains (think of a ski brand) and none of them have withstood the abuse these have received. Leading up to the skyline i bought another pair of TR7's thinking an unworn shoe would work better, however i wore the original 6 month old shoe, as it was super comfy and while many runners we're struggling on the varied terrain these gave me the confidence to push on. N.B I'm not an Adidas employee, i just felt compelled to make this review as after attending this event (sky runner) many runners were wearing other brands which are heavily marketed towards this style of running and felt it was a shame this great shoe was a bit of an unknown. PS 7th placed Vet;-)
Very good and comfortable and Good sturdy walking trainers . Great for outside, perfect quality,This is a great looking and great quality shoe. Love the extra support around the side of the shoe and on the front.I went half size down and they fit ok but normal size may be too big. Overall a nice pair of trainers. I will recommend.
The Adidas AX2 shoes are a great shoe that fits really well with looking great. Tasteful with a pair of jeans or shorts, great feel when walking or running across all surfaces. The design team at Adidas have, in my opinion, done a first-rate job of constructing these shoes.
Very stylish. Bought for walking on mild climbs. Great grip on wet surface, including grass and stone. I'm a size 10 and the 10 was a perfect fit. They are a firm trainer but have give. Highly recommended
Receiving my new runners from the postman inspired me to try them out straight away. So off I took down to the local park and into their forest trail and away I ran. The shoes were so comfortable over the uneven ground and with great support for my dodgy ankle. And best of all my feet remained totally dry!
Had purchased a pair of shoes from another well known brand which I later had to return because of a small fault. Then purchased these Kanadia 7 shoes and I love them. More comfortable and lighter than the other ones. Have worn them now seven or eight times and could not be happier with them.
Great pair of trainers. The lace system is great. Really easy to use. Beats tying laces. The trainers are good for the great outdoors the goretex keeps your feet nice and dry. All round a great pair of trainers.
